Speakers were: Anders Castor, pediatric onchology, Lund University, Karel Marsal, obsthetrics and gynechology, Lund university, Nils Ståhl, neurosurgery, Lund university hospital, Susanna Axelsson, head of the Swedish Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Assessment of Social Services, Sten Anttila, Swedish Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Assessment of Social Services (and part of the VBE research programme), Charlotta Levay, dep. of Business Administration, Lund university, Ingalill Rahm Hallberg, Health Sciences, Lund university. 

The talks ranged from how science, and proven experience, are used in medical practice and the interplay of science and proven experience in medical eviden evaluations to questions about how to reconcile the two concepts in research on health. 

The afternoon gave rise to many interesting discussions and perhaps also new questions about the intriguing concept of science and proven experience.

This was the first half day conference in a planned series in which the next event will be June 17, about science and proven experience and law.
